Hi everyone,
I was born and raised in Paris. I’ve always been told that ‘less is more’ when it comes to looking after my skin – something typical of a French woman’s skincare routine.
I actually started to really take care of my skin in my early twenties, becoming what some might call a ‘skincare junkie’, trying every mask and moisturiser I would read about in blogs and magazines. But it wasn’t until my late twenties that I began to understand the importance of consistency to my skincare routine – a message that Dr AJ really promotes in our Nuriss clinic.
I’m very lucky to have never suffered with what you might call ‘problem’ skin, but have always found that I was a little dry around my cheeks and my T-zone would become oily towards the end of the day. I also have some slight discolouration in areas which has led me to search far and wide for products to really address hyperpigmentation.
My life is pretty full on these days, and I’m often on the go, planning our social media calendars and shooting new content for Nuriss. This has meant that I’ve had to adapt my routine to create something quick and easy to follow, yet effective.
Cleanse
I just love the Rose Hip Seed Nourishing Cleanser from Nuriss. I really like that it’s gentle yet completely removes and traces of makeup. This leaves my skin super refreshed and plumped with no dryness. J’adore!
Tone
Before joining Nuriss, I didn’t really use a toner. Tut tut. But Dr AJ and the team have encouraged me to start using the CO-Q-10 Rebalancing Toner and it’s amazing! Smoother, fresher and cleaner, my skin has never been better.
Serum
As I have a dark-skin tone, I’ve noticed some discolouration due to hyperpigmentation. I discovered this amazing serum by Kiehl’s; Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective™ Dark Spot Solution. My skin has now a much more even complexion! By far my favourite serum.
Moisturise
I must admit my skin is definitely having to adjust to the UK water. I’ve noticed some dryness over my cheekbones and around my nose. To combat this, I combine two creams. Firstly I use the pharmaceutical moisturiser Dexeryl, prescribed by my GP, applying only to dry areas. I then use Crème Magnifica Peppermint Anti-Blemish Moisturiser from Sanoflore all over my face for hydration. Despite being really nourishing, it creates a perfectly matte finish.
SPF
As a Parisian, nothing makes me happier than enjoying the sun as much as possible. Now that I live in London, I love going on long walks to discover the city. Whether it’s sunny or not, it’s important for me to protect my skin against environmental aggressors such as UV and pollution. As the last layer, I apply the Moisturising Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 from Nuriss. I keep this in my bag and reapply every few hours.
