HOW DOES I-PIXEL LASER WORK?
The I-Pixel laser is a resurfacing laser facial. During the treatment, pulses of laser beams create tiny ablative zones, removing the epidermis and upper dermis. FREQUENCY
The frequency of treatment varies from person to person, thus a full consultation is necessary. Generally, we recommend three treatments, performed at least 6 weeks apart.
AFTERCARE AND DOWNTIME
Post-treatment products will be provided to support your skin’s recovery. The skin will be extremely sensitive for the first 72 hours. Mild treatments have a 3-5 day recovery time, Moderate to major treatments may take 7-14 days, for full recovery, depending on the strength of the treatment.
It is normal to experience some redness and flushing after treatment, similar to a sunburn. As the new skin replaces old tissue, you may notice some darkening and flakiness; this is a positive sign that healing is progressing. Over the following months, your skin will continue to improve significantly.
DURATION
Treatments typically last around 20-30 minutes, making this a quick and convenient option for those with busy lifestyles. It is easy to fit a session into your lunch break or after work.
DISCOMFORT LEVEL
You may experience mild to medium discomfort. However, compared to other resurfacing methods such as CO2 laser treatments, I-Pixel skin resurfacing offers less discomfort and quicker recovery times.
NEED TO KNOW
I-Pixel treatments are safe and effective alternatives to injections or surgery. Although I-Pixel has lower discomfort levels and quicker recovery than CO2 laser resurfacing, all treatments carry risks and potential complications, such as redness, sensitivity, swelling, bruising, burns, and pigmentation changes.
For optimal results, we recommend a series of treatments, which your practitioner will customise based on your specific needs and goals.
